Videography

My background in photography has sparked my interest video production and editing, especially in the realm of dance and theater. I love the challenge of capturing motion that can be unpredictable with an artistic lens.

I edited this video for Feel the Beat, a non-profit dance program that makes music accessible to those with and without disabilities. The video was used as a fundraiser paired their yearly impact report, showcasing the good they’ve done in the past year and more.

I created this project in conjunction with a haunted house dance experience produced by LifeArt Dance. The goal was to find a way to represent the entire team of Rocky Mountain Rhythm in a style that matched up with the dance experience it would be presented at. I decided to start off with horror film motifs as an introduction to each team member, and when we all meet up the scene changes to illustrated and it transforms into a zombie tap dancing group. The challenge of working with a large team in a small space and with limited time and budget taught us a lot and we are all really proud of the final result!

I shot and edited this video as a promotion for the Thornton Arts Dia De Los Muertos event. I focused on making sure there was language access to all in this video, adding closed captions in whichever language was not being spoken.

This video is not just a showcase of a festival; it’s a window into a community coming together to celebrate life, remember the departed, and embrace cultural heritage.

I shot a series of videos for Fancy Tiger Crafts in sewing, knitting, crochet, and spinning. There are multiple lessons for each class where attendees learn the basics of the craft as well as how to complete several projects. This is a promotional video created using some of the footage for Sewing Basics and Beyond.

This is a sample stop motion and video compilation shot and edited by me. This sample, crafted for a collaborative agency, exemplifies the seamless fusion of my creative planning, shooting, editing, animating, and text effects expertise. From inception to execution, I bring every element together for a compelling ad video.

This is a sample fashion and product video I created featuring artist Mary Jo Lasky.

We produced, directed and edited this video project for Rocky Mountain Rhythm, featuring the company in an ode to the 1930s-40s, choreographed by Elijah Meader. This video was a selection for the Life in Motion Film Festival.

This is a BTS video of a dance shoot that we completed at Andrews Artistry (my business), showing how we work with professionals to capture their image and transition that image into a composite artwork.

Improvisational Study

The videos to the right are from a study I did on dance and environment. I placed dancers in various environments and had them improvise without any music or guidance. They were simply instructed to do what felt natural in the environment they were in.
